Martín García García (b. Gijón, 1996) is one of the most compelling Spanish pianists of his generation, having captivated audiences on leading stages across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. His artistry has drawn praise from such eminent figures as Vladimir Krainev, Dmitri Alexeev, Arcadi Volodos, Dmitri Bashkirov, Joaquín Achúcarro, and Tatiana Copeland, niece of Sergei Rachmaninov. He rose to international prominence in 2021, winning First Prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition and Third Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, where he also received the Warsaw Philharmonic's special award for the best performance of a concerto.
Martín began his musical journey at the age of five with Natalia Mazoun and Ilya Goldfarb. He went on to study for a decade with Galina Eguiazarova at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, graduating as the Most Outstanding Student of her piano studio, an honor presented by Her Majesty Queen Sofía. He then completed a master's degree at New York's Mannes School of Music under the renowned pianist Jerome Rose.
He has appeared with orchestras including the Symphoniker Hamburg, Warsaw Philharmonic, Spanish National Orchestra, Barcelona Symphony (OBC), Sinfonia Varsovia, Tokyo Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, Brasília Symphony Orchestra, and Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, working with conductors such as Mikhail Pletnev, Vasily Petrenko, and Andrey Boreyko.
The 2026/27 season marks a milestone: Martín embarks on his tenth tour of Japan, where his concerts draw a combined audience of 25,000, a testament to the devoted following he has built there. Alongside major engagements in Europe and the United States, he performs in Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Australia, and makes a much-anticipated return to Latin America.
His discography continues to grow with the 2026 release of Chopin and His Echo, following Chopin and His Master (2022), Even-Tide (2024), and Silent Music (2025), all warmly received by critics and audiences alike. That same dedication is evident in the integrity and focus he brings to the concert stage.
