Biography

Born in Novi Sad (Serbia), he studied Composition at the Academy of Arts in his hometown and vocal performance at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste. He was one of the singers in the second edition of the Crescendo program at the Teatro Real in Madrid. In 2023, he won first prize in the international competitions Josep Palet, Les Corts, and BA Lirica. He received the second prize at the Bellano, Paese degli Artisti international singing competition, and third prizes at the Salvatore Licitra and Compostela Lirica international singing competitions.

He opens the 24/25 season with two productions of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana: first with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, followed by a tour in Spain with ADDA Simfònica and the Orfeón Donostiarra. He will continue with debuts at the Opéra National de Paris, performing as a Flemish Deputy in Verdi's Don Carlo, and at the Teatro Maestranza in Sevilla as Morales in Bizet's Carmen. Additionally, he will perform the role of Marcello in La Bohème as part of the Fundació Òpera Catalunya season, and he will return to the Gran Teatre del Liceu to play Bernardo in West Side Story under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.

In the 23/24 season, highlight performances included Scarus in the European premiere of John Adams' opera Antony & Cleopatra at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, L’Horologe in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges at the Ópera de Tenerife, and Lescaut in Puccini's Manon Lescaut for the Fundació Òpera Catalunya.

At the Gran Teatre del Liceu, he has also performed roles such as Carcelero (Tosca), and Littore and Famigliar di Seneca (L'incoronazione di Poppea). At the Teatro Real, he has sung roles such as Lacayo, Ivan Ivánovich, and Student in Barrie Kosky's production of Shostakovich's The Nose.

He has worked with musical directors such as Giacomo Sagripanti, Jordi Savall, Henrik Nánási, John Adams, and Mark Wigglesworth, as well as stage directors like Barry Kosky, Elkhanah Pulitzer, and Calixto Bieito.
