In an outstanding performance, Mira Alkhovik won third prize at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition. She performed arias from Fiordiligi, Dido, and Rusalka. Not only did Mira stand out among the participants, but she was also awarded the prize for best interpretation of a contemporary composition by the composer Antony Turnage, presented during the semifinals.
The competition in Munich, is one of the most prestigious events on the international music scene. As an awarded artist, Mira performed with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, conducted by Matthias Foremny, the arias "Thy hand, Belinda - When I am laid in earth" from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, and the challenging "Temerari! - Come scoglio immoto resta" from Mozart's Così fan tutte.
Mira Alkhovik has won numerous prizes in major vocal competitions, including second prize at the 2024 Tenor Viñas Competition, and she will be part of the young ensemble at the Volksoper Wien until the 2025/26 season.
