We are delighted to announce that Ibermúsica will undertake the global representation of one of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish performers: mezzo-soprano Silvia Tro Santafé.
The Valencian artist is currently experiencing a noteworthy moment in her career, securing a triumphant performance as Elisabetta in Gaetano Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda at Les Arts in December, garnering critical acclaim. Tro Santafé’s repertoire encompasses the period from the Baroque to the 21st century, but she is widely acknowledged as one of the most proficient contemporary interpreters of Italian music from the 19th century. Her notable roles include Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena), Elisabetta (Maria Stuarda), Sara Nottingham (Roberto Devereux), Adalgisa (Norma), Laura (La Gioconda), Principessa di Bouillon (Adriana Lecouvreur), and Eboli (Don Carlo), among others.
She has performed at the Vienna State Opera, Berlin State Opera, Zurich, Amsterdam, Washington DC, Palermo, Toulouse, Hamburg, San Diego, Geneva, Florence, Bologna, and Munich, as well as at La Scala, Teatro Real (Madrid), Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Semperoper Dresden, Paris, Marseille, Brussels, Valencia, Avignon, and Zurich.
Her upcoming commitments include Donizetti's operas Roberto Devereux, Maria Stuarda, and Maria Padilla; Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites, Dukas's Ariane et Barbe-Bleue, Falla's La vida breve, Verdi's Aida, Cilea's Adriana Lecouvreur, and her Wagnerian debut with the opera Rienzi.
