We are delighted to announce that Ibermúsica Artists will undertake the global representation of one of the most internationally acclaimed performers in the current scene: Santiago Ballerini.
The Argentinian/Italian artist is recognized as one of the leading tenors in the Bel Canto repertoire, having performed at many of the major opera houses throughout North and South America from Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Canadian Opera Company, Ópera de Bellas Artes, and The Dallas Opera, as well as alongside leading international orchestras and opera houses in Europe such as Teatro Regio di Torino, Opéra national de Bordeaux, Teatro Real, Gran Teatre del Liceu, and more.
He won First Prize at the Festivals Musicales Competition, American Society Competition, and San Juan Opera Competition. In 2014, Ballerini was named Argentina’s “Upcoming Opera Singer'' by the Congress of Argentina and the Argentine Association of Critics. In January 2016, Ballerini was awarded the Grand Prize at the Laguna Mágica International Vocal Competition in Chile, receiving invitations to sing Cassio in Otello with the Teatro Argentino and to sing with the Tenerife Opera.
His recent commitments include his role debut as Narciso in a new production of Rossini’s Il turco in Italia at Teatro Colón, his return to the Teatro Regio di Torino to star as Prunier in La Rondine, and at Arizona Opera to sing Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville.
He stars as Argirio in Rossini’s Tancredi at Opéra de Rouen Normandie, and performs Ernesto in a new production of Don Pasquale at Canadian Opera Company. In the summer of 2024, he sings Javier Carmena’s zarzuela El Orgullo de quererte in concert at Teatros del Canal in Madrid, after premiering the piece in 2022.
