French tenor Benjamin Bernheim has been honored with the prestigious award for Best Male Singer at the 2024 International Opera Awards, one of the most renowned ceremonies in the world of opera. The gala took place last night at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich.
Although Bernheim was unable to attend the event in person due to his current performance in Les contes d'Hoffmann at the MET in New York, he expressed his gratitude through an emotional message:
"Thank everyone of you for this great honour, thank the jury for supporting me after this amazing and rich season 23/24. A year with lots of new projects, new productions and amazing collaborations with extremely talented people around the world."
