7th October 2024

The distinguished Valencian soprano, Silvia Tro Santfé, has been recognized as the Best Mezzo-Soprano of the 2023/2024 season at the Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia. The award, presented by the Amics de l'Òpera i de Les Arts de la Comunitat Valenciana (AOA), honors her impressive portrayal of Elisabetta in the production of Maria Stuarda.

The award was officially announced at the gala organized by the AOA on Friday, October 4th, at the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia, where leading figures from the world of opera and the arts gathered.

In an emotional statement after receiving the news, Silvia Tro Santfé expressed her gratitude: "I feel honored and sincerely grateful for this recognition. It is a moment to remember that no achievement is reached in isolation. This award for Best Mezzo-Soprano of the 23/24 season at Palau de Les Arts is not just a reflection of my work but of the support and perseverance that each of you has invested in me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the people of Valencia, my city, for the support you give me, and I look forward to seeing you again this season in Roberto Devereux."

Silvia Tro Santfé will perform as Sara in Roberto Devereux in the new season at Palau de Les Arts. The opera is a co-production between Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, and Teatro di San Carlo in Naples.
