In the next two weeks, Behzod Abduraimov gives solo recital debuts at Chicago Symphony Center on 3 March, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden on 8 March, Kölner Philharmonie on 11March and at the newly opened Zaryadye Concert Hall in Moscow on 13 March.
The programme in Chicago and Baden Baden includes Liszt’s transcription of Wagner’s Isolde’s Liebestod as well as his Sonata in B Minor. It also concludes Prokofiev’s own transcription of ten pieces from his ballet Romeo and Juliet. In Köln and Moscow, Liszt’ Sonata in B Minor is replaced by Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
